This was my first time using the services of the Grayslake 911 Tech Repair, but it won’t be my last. I needed my charging port replaced and Wedge was knowledgeable, personable, very responsive and quick to diagnose my issue and repair may laptop.From drop off to pick up, it was less than a couple of hours. Extremely pleased with service and value! Highly recommend Grayslake 911 Tech Repair!

This is definitely my go-to business for tech problems. A few weeks ago, my phone screen went black and I couldn't get it back. I just happened to be near the store, so my husband suggested I stop in. My phone was fixed in less than 5 mins, and no charge.
So, when I was fed up with dealing with my 5-year old Lenovo laptop being so painfully slow, I took it in to 911 TR to see A) if it was fixable, and B) what the pros and cons were of fixing vs buying new. I ended up having it repaired with a new hard drive, and asked for installation of Windows 11. I was also concurrently having trouble accessing my work website, and was able to determine that the block was not caused by anything in my laptop. The total cost was just over $300, which was much less than what it would've cost to replace my computer with a similar model.
During my adjustment to Windows 11, and my search for the block, I called 911 TR several times to ask for advice on how to proceed, and then also went back to the store to have them show me how to access customizations I wanted in my laptop.
Their customer service is top notch. Every contact I had with them was courteous, efficient, and provided answers to all my questions. I highly recommend this business for laptop repair. I will definitely be a regular customer with all my devices.

Over 5 years ago I had a really nice laptop with water damage start smoking on me. I carried it around for years hoping I could get it fixed one day. 911 Tech in Crystal Lake managed to bring this completely fried laptop back to life for a surprisingly low price! New charging port, repaired motherboard, new battery and she’s running like new. I would recommend this place to anyone with any kind of tech issues even if you think your item is too far gone. I will be back in the future!

Any big company would have tried convincing me to buy a new laptop or charged me insane prices for that fix. I walked out and spent less than $300 to bring back a laptop that cost over $1,500.

I've brought two devices here, a Dell laptop and a Nintendo Switch game console, and both times the devices were repaired successfully and at an excellent price. I'll definitely be coming back for any future console or phone repairs as well. Thanks for everything!

I’ve been going here for a few years it started with my tablet. I had an amazing experience so when my kid wanted a 3D printing computer I came back. The first computer didn’t work so I called him up and and he took back the computer and we tested out another one to make sure it’ll work. Just an overall amazing guy and place to placing phones tablets computers. I’ll be coming to him for life

Brought my computer in to get my screen repaired and service was absolutely amazing! Only took 4 days to get back and inexpensive compared to other stores I had received estimates from. All around great experience highly recommend for cheap and quick service!

This is my second time here and I will definitely be back if I need any more repairs. I needed a new battery for an older MacBook laptop and the Apple Store no longer will service this model. Also Apple no longer sells the chargers for these laptops which was super frustrating. I thought I’d stop by 911 Tech Repair to see if they could help. I was thrilled to hear that not only could they replace my battery, but they could order me a refurbished charger! Fantastic! I left my laptop with them and it was all ready less than 24 hrs later. When I picked it up it looked like a new computer. They cleaned it all up (no more dust or fingerprints!) and they even replaced a key on the keyboard that was missing.

Over 200 gigs of my growing family’s photos and my time in the military were trapped on my computer. I was convinced anyone trying to retrieve them might lose them. Wedge did a fantastic job answering all of my questions and eliminating my concerns. He was in communication with me throughout the process, it took less time than expected, as well as at a very reasonable price.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but they didn’t just “fix” a computer, They reunited us with old memories.

They built my computer and four years later it's still running strong. They've fixed my family's phones a few times, those are usually done same day. The people here was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the issues with my devices clearly. They even provided a few options based on my budget.

Great fellow! Honest, professional and in touch. My computer was making horrible sounds and he got to the bottom of it immediately and had it back to me ASAP.

The guys there is awesome! He explained everything to me. He got my PC back to me in 2 days! It was overheating a lot and he found that the pump in the cooler went out and gave me suggestions and best deals at local stores for the new part replacement. He went out of his way to check those things for me. He even redid all my cable management and cleaned it so there is ZERO dust. Replaced a fan and screws with what he already had even when he didn't have to because when I built it forgot a lot of things. And to top it off, the price was extremely affordable. This is my new go to computer repair place, wow, just WOW!

This guy's awesome! We have been going here for years for personal and business use. We had a large scale private medical office and this was our exclusive repair shop for every which way you could think about breaking a computer. I've also brought my Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus in for several repairs. As far as phones are concerned it's basically a dinosaur. But it runs like it's brand new. I have had the battery replaced on it twice, cracked screens, recently chipped my camera while on vacation doing some amazing outdoor adventure hiking, and when I discovered that the camera lens was chipped I had the entire thing from diagnosis to correction done in under an hour. Everything here is taken care of very quickly in a professional manner, and dealing with technology, you can understand that sometimes it gets very costly. I'm always ready for the sticker shock of how much something is going to cost to replace, and it always comes in way less than I expected here. What more could you ask for? Fast and responsive customer service quick technical turnaround, as well as some guidance as to the best way to proceed with any given problem. not just the technical skills also the consultation is worth what you pay for the repair.

I first visited 911 Tech Repair regarding the broken screen on my older model Samsung Galaxy 'backup phone.' 911 Tech Repair personnel gave a price and turnaround time far better than competitors. Work was completed earlier than promised. I appreciated that personnel answer the shop phone. I received excellent service. They have since assisted me with data transfers, computer repair, and given guidance on other tech questions related to my Samsung Galaxy tablet and phones.
