Over 5 years ago I had a really nice laptop with water damage start smoking on me. I carried it around for years hoping I could get it fixed one day. 911 Tech in Crystal Lake managed to bring this completely fried laptop back to life for a surprisingly low price! New charging port, repaired motherboard, new battery and she’s running like new. I would recommend this place to anyone with any kind of tech issues even if you think your item is too far gone. I will be back in the future!

Any big company would have tried convincing me to buy a new laptop or charged me insane prices for that fix. I walked out and spent less than $300 to bring back a laptop that cost over $1,500.

Edit 8/17/25: 911 Tech Repair continues to offer great service! My laptop needed another hardware repair recently (totally user error on my end- I left it in the car during a heat wave and the bezel completely detached from my screen). Once again, Frank gave me a really understandable explanation of what would be required to fix it with a prompt estimate of parts + labor cost. He also continued to provide timely updates throughout the process, and offered accommodating options for pickup that fit even with my chaotic work schedule. My laptop was ready before my next semester starts and literally looks brand new. Would 100% recommend!

[OG Review]: Frank is a lifesaver! Both of the hinges on my laptop popped off, and I was worried that it couldn’t be fixed before finals. Not only did Frank talk me through multiple repair options (and price points)- he also finished fixing it a few days earlier than expected, and gave me advice on how to avoid similar problems in the future.
